Lil’D believes music is a language we all share. We might not be able to cook, but we all enjoy a good meal. Every set is a conversation, stewed on mood, feel and the joy of surprise.

He is hands on by nature which makes vinyl a natural home. A playful tinkerer and born connector (with a rebel streak), he mixes to communicate first, then to challenge expectations. The needle meets the groove and he is hooked.

Rooted in jazz and swing, his selections stretch beyond the expected. Years of crate digging through warehouses, antique stores, loosing sight on discogs and yard sales supply him with textures that make dancers listen with their feet. Herräng taught him community and momentum. London’s stage DJ acts taught him poise and timing.

Nudgging the boundaries of the established etiquette without losing the heartbeat of the crowd. Nothing sounds like a live instrument, and vinyl comes closest in spirit. Warm, imperfect, and alive.
